Firms and business executives join an AmCham for different reasons. Many join to enhance community goodwill, without concern for immediate benefit to themselves. Most join to make business contacts and exchange information useful to their business. Still others join to benefit from the services an AmCham provides its members. These can be especially valuable to firms engaged in business with or in foreign countries where the language, laws, regulations and customs may be unfamiliar.

AmChams fill a genuine need in today's world of expanding overseas trade and investment. Recognizing their value in fostering good international commercial relations, the US Chamber of Commerce urges American and other international firms interested in international trade and investment to support this AmCham by becoming members and actively participating in its vital work.

SERVICES:

• facilitating business and Government contacts
• organizing regular monthly luncheons featuring Croatian, US and other foreign business leaders and officials as keynote speakers
• organizing informal monthly cocktails sponsored by AmCham members which have a short presentation of their companies/products
• facilitating networking among our members
• publishing a monthly Newsletter containing relevant information about changes in legislation, regulations in addition to business opportunities, reports on AmCham events, advertising of our members
• organizing seminars and training sessions on important topics
• access to our library which contains English translations of some Croatian laws
• co-operation with the activities of the US Chamber of Commerce and European Council of American Cambers of Commerce (ECACC)
• formed a series of committees which examine more closely the issues impacting companies and their operations, and formulate recommendations for the Board of Governors to act upon
