In an effort to build stronger networks and expand cooperation between businesses and local government offices, AmCham planned a series of presentations throughout Croatia to promote our work and build our connections. AmCham held its first presentation to local entrepreneurs on December 4, 2007 in Varaždin, where we met with numerous entrepreneurs and County representatives from the Varaždin, Međimurska and Krapinsko-zagorska County. The event was organized in the cooperation with AZRA - Varaždin county development Agency - and featured around 30 non-member companies from the above-mentioned counties. Mr. Alen Leverić from AZRA greeted the guests, and our new Board President, Mr. Michael Allen (Ernst & Young) welcomed the entrepreneurs to the presentation and introduced Mr. Damir Vucić, Executive Director, who presented AmCham and AmCham activities. The event was followed by a networking cocktail. On March 31, 2008 Damir Vucić - AmCham Executive director and Don Markušić - Second Vice-President, held the presentation about AmCham and its activities in front of the entrepreneurs and representatives of local authorities of the Šibensko - Kninska and Zadarska Counties. AmCham had a very successful cooperation with the Zadar County office and Croatian Chamber of Economy in Šibenik in organizing these events and they also provided us with venue and sponsored light cocktails after the presentations. First presentation was held in the morning in Šibenik, and all guests were greeted by the President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy in Šibenik – Mr. Petar Škender. Second presentation was held in the afternoon in Zadar, starting with a welcome speech by the Deputy County Prefect Đani Bunja. |
