Speed Networking

Date: February 14th, 2012

Place: Hotel Dubrovnik, Piccolo Mondo

Yesterday AmCham held its second Speed networking event. AmCham members, mostly sales and procurement managers, exchanged business cards in a moderated concept of 2 minute conversations with each person. We received positive comments to the concept as it  proved to be a great way to enhance networking opportunities among our members.

************

The concept: meet up to 30 companies face to face in a 40 minute session and enjoy a great buffet breakfast.

Why speed networking:
Speed Networking is a good use of  your time
Once it started, networking “just happens” without feeling as forced
Opportunity to meet new buyers/suppliers

Who is this for:
middle and low management
sales and procurement
and all those members with a passion of exchanging business cards

This is for those that value short but meaningful conversations and take on a challenge of having collection of business cards. Connections are your biggest assets.

What our members think about it:

Speedy meetings within a friendly environment, I will never come back to the office from a meeting with more contacts and more business cards in such short time period. Vladimir Banović, Sales & Marketing, Manager, Anterra d.o.o. / Hertz Croatia

The first Speed-Networking event organized by AmCham was a quite fun and very useful experience.... Firstly, it is an opportunity to meet new people from very different industries at the same event, to exchange contacts and maybe detect mutual business opportunities. Secondly, it is an exercise for all of us to present what we do in an “elevator speech” communication model, simple and effective. I really enjoyed participating and look forward to the next Speed-Networking event as soon as possible. Thanks! Domagoj, Juričić, Regional Development Director, InfoDom d.o.o.
