9th Crikvenica International Health Tourism Conference

Hybrid B2B conference where domestic and world experts will present new trends in health tourism, November 4 - 5, 2021

The most influential health tourism conference in the region, the CIHT conference, will be held on the 4th and 5th of November 2021 for the first time in a hybrid edition, and already traditionally in English. In order to discuss the latest trends in health tourism and exchange knowledge and experience, the CIHT conference will bring together world-renowned experts in the field of health, tourism, marketing and education.

Over the years, CIHT has hosted excellent experts from all over the world who, with their knowledge and experience, contribute to the further progress and promotion of health and health tourism in the region. This year's ninth CIHT conference continues to contribute to the application of current theoretical knowledge and trends in practice, emphasizing the strategic importance and importance of the development of health tourism in Croatia with the efficient connection of foreign and domestic markets. Along with top lecturers, the priority of the conference is the best possible quality of content that abounds in interesting, educational, innovative and current topics and workshops. This year's conference program will address the topics of connecting the American and Croatian health tourism markets and bringing international patients to Croatia, and emphasis will be placed on the benefits of diversity of tourist offer, as well as the latest trends in health tourism. Seventeen lecturers from eight different countries will share their opinion on these topics, and some of them are: Mario Škugor endocrinologist from the most famous American Cleveland Clinic, Steven Pavletic, oncologist and president of the Association of Croatian-American Professionals, Jan de Jong, co-founder of Webpower Adria and the Digital Nomad Association Croatia, Vladimir Miholjević, director of CRO Race, Maria Princivalle, director of the online platform BookingsMed for booking treatments and Jean-Guy de Gabriac, founder of World Wellness Weekend, an international two-day event that promotes healthy living.

The ninth edition of the CIHT conference will be held in a hybrid form for the first time, which means that the conference program will be held on site at the Katarina Hotel in Selce and broadcast simultaneously via a virtual platform. In this way, all those interested will have the opportunity to choose whether they want to come to Selce in person or would rather participate virtually. The program at the Katarina Hotel will be organized according to all valid epidemiological measures and recommendations.

The CIHT conference is the result of cooperation between the Crikvenica Tourist Board and the Kvarner Health Tourism Cluster as the organizers, and the Special Hospital for Medical Rehabilitation of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County Thalassotherapia Crikvenica and the Polyclinic Terme Selce as the co-organizers.

The importance of the CIHT conference was again recognized by many. This year, the general sponsor of the 9th CIHT conference is Jadran-galenski laboratorij d.d., a Croatian pharmaceutical company with global success and recognition. Also, for many years, the Ministry of Tourism and Sport has been supporting the CIHT conference, and its support has made a great contribution to the organization of this year's hybrid conference.
