Alumni applications to connect with mentors

We invite AmCham Talents Alumni to connect with mentors who with their advice and experience can support further career development. The program is designed as an informal consultation virtually or live according to the schedule agreed directly between the mentor and the participants. Mentors are: Hrvoje Badovinac, Nikola Dujmović, Danko Schonwald, Ivan Vidaković, Luka Gašpar and Tomislav Šlat.

We are pleased to announce that AmCham Talents Alumni is starting a mentoring program in which you can potentially find a mentor who will support further career development with his advice and experience. The program is intended for participants of all previous generations of the Talents program so that, with the support of AmCham, they can systematically continue their development.

We have planned 6 mentors for 2021, and those who interested will be able to apply with a motivation letter and biography. The program is designed as an informal consultation virtually or live according to the terms agreed directly between the mentor and the participants.

Hrvoje Badovinac, Medical Technology Consultant and former Regional director of Medtronic Adriatic experienced in various skills crucial for business success, such as: leadership, project management, market development, talent management and mentoring. After graduating from the Faculty of Economics University of Zagreb, he started his career in Banex company followed by working for Medtronic in Vienna, Austria. In 1996 he opened a Medtronic’s representative office in Zagreb which over the years of his leadership became the center for the Adriatic Region.

Ivan Vidaković, CEO at YOTTA d.o.o. ICT & business executive with over 35 years of experience, including leadership, top management, business strategy, business development, general management, project management, sales and marketing in Microsoft CEE and in IBM Croatia and the Middle East. The President of Croatian American Chamber of Commerce from 2011 to 2015 and a member of Croatian National Competitiveness Council for seven years. In 2016 Ivan received a 2016 Manager of the Year Award from Croatian Manager Association (CROMA) as well as a professional recognition for personal contribution to the development of ICT industry and Digital Transformation of Croatian Economy. Specialties: leadership, general management, digital transformation, talent management and development, mentoring, project management, ICT technology and global technology trends impacting business etc.

Luka Gašpar, experienced CEO. Experienced executive officer of large Croatian and international companies such as Nikola Tesla Institute, Ericcson Nikola Tesla, Emerson, Vertiv, Končar and Inetec. Innovative strong professional with a history of achievements in business results, business development in many countries, and driven by business opportunities. By education Master Engineer of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture and proven in fields of top management, leadership, project management, sales, and marketing.

Tomislav Šlat, Senior Country Leader Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia. General Management and business development professional with more than 30 years of international sales and marketing experience in Central & Eastern Europe, with strong leadership and managerial skills, lean management and intercultural experience, demonstrated through high level of responsibility, strong self-motivation, committment, excellent inter-personal and cross-cultural skills, and proven "can-do" attitude. Substantial achievements in managing diversity, attracting and developing talents, creating highly engaged winning organizations with strong ethical conduct values. Experienced in project and business process management (Six Sigma) as well as Mergers & Acquisitions project management. President of AmCham from 2000-2002 and currently Vice president of Foreign Investors Council in Croatia.
