Conference ‘Better Business for Children’

The conference will be held on September 27, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Kongresni centar Forum, Radnička cesta 50, Zagreb.

The conference, focused on the impact of the business sector on children's rights in the Republic of Croatia, will be an opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of socially responsible businesses and children's rights in the Republic of Croatia.

We will present the findings and results of the national Research of the Impact of the Business Sector on Children’s Rights in Croatia at the conference, the first research of such kind that has been done in the Republic of Croatia. We will also launch the UNICEF-led Advisory Board on Corporate Social Responsibility and Children’s Rights, a body that gathers leaders from major private and public sector organizations in the Republic of Croatia with an aim to act upon the research recommendations on the subject of CSR focused on children and the improvement mechanisms.

The conference will host Ishmael Beah, UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, and the New York Times and International Bestselling author of A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier and Radiance of Tomorrow, a novel. The Lively Skeletons of Every Season, a novel, is his forthcoming work that will be published by Riverhead Books. Mr. Beah is today engaged in advocacy to help thousands of children still trapped in wars, and has received numerous humanitarian and writing awards for his work.

Please confirm your attendance at partnerstva@unicef.hr no later than September 24.

Attendance is free of charge and the seating is limited.
