Podravka’s treasury of awards for product quality is richer for a further 11 decorations from Superior Taste Award, the most renowned certification in the food segment worldwide. This year’s Superior Taste Awards were presented at a ceremony held in Brussels.

For the second time, Lino Lada Gold and Žito Buckwheat bread with walnuts received the maximum grade and 3 STA stars, and Vegeta Maestro smoked paprika, Vegeta Natur deltapack, Fant mix for spaghetti bolognese, Eva delicates sardines with rosemary and sea salt, Hearty porcini mushroom and buckwheat soup, Eva delicates sardines with black olives, Eva tuna spread with ajvar and Salut were all adorned with the Superior Taste Award stamp.

Superior Taste Award is given by International Taste & Quality Institute (iTQi), based in Brussels, and companies from over 120 countries are competing for this prestigious award. Superior Taste Awards are given by a panel of over 200 members from over 20 countries. Their talents were recognized in Chef & Sommelier competitions or by renowned institutions such as the Michelin Guide or Gault&Millau.

The process of evaluation is rigorous and involves sensory evaluation using the method of blind tasting of the product, and focusing on the intensity of taste of the product itself without comparing it to other products.

Podravka has been participating with its products in the Superior Taste Award evaluation continuously since 2008. The first product that won the Superior Taste Award in 2008 was Podravka beef goulash, followed by a whole range of individual products from all categories of Podravka’s range of products (condiments, soups, ajvar, tomato puree, Lino Lada, Dolcela puddings, teas, meat products, flour, bread...).

In the period between 2008 and 2019, Podravka products won as many as 121 Superior Taste Awards.
