On the eve of its 24th birthday, the oldest Croatian news portal Vecernji.hr has shone in a new guise. By implementing the most modern technical solutions, connecting the newspaper brand with modern design, it offers its users a new, better experience of consuming news content.

Vecernji.hr is the only news portal on the Croatian market that currently allows you to select the display of content in dark mode, which changes the automatic setting of black text on a white background to white text on a dark background. Each article offers readers the possibility of audio version. The audio version of articles facilitates the consumption of texts if our other, parallel action does not allow reading - like driving a car. Audio articles also increase the accessibility of content for people with disabilities, and there is also the possibility of changing the font size.

More visible and transparent information allows readers to find all the news articles easily and quickly. With the redesign, Večernji's products such as Premium content, videos produced by Večernji TV, and the Archive, where you can find newspaper issues of Večernji list from 1959 to 2010, are additionally highlighted.

Ideas about the new possibilities of the portal have been collected by the members of the Večernji list through careful research of the domestic and foreign media market and by listening to the suggestions of readers in recent years, and the Web & Software agencija Dwizards is responsible for the technical part. Dwizards made available its strongest forces that lived this project from its beginning to the final. Numerous hours of designing and programming led to the final goal, which is the highest technical reach of modern Croatian journalism.
