World Exhibition EXPO 2020 Dubai

The World Exhibition EXPO 2020 Dubai is being held from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022. The exhibition brings together countries, multilateral organizations, companies and educational institutions and provides the opportunity for 191 countries to present themselves. During the exhibition, 25 million visitors are expected (70% international and 30% local).

The content is intended for the general public, young people, business and public entities and national governments. The theme of EXPO 2020 Dubai is "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future" with three sub-themes: Mobility, Sustainability and Opportunity.

The content of the EXPO program will take place in accordance with 10 thematic weeks, covering areas of greatest interest to EXPO participants and partners:

  • Climate & Biodiversity – October 3 to October 9, 2021
  • Space – October 17 to October 23, 2021
  • Urban & Rural Development – October 31 to November 6, 2021
  • Tolerance & Inclusivity –November 14 to November 20, 2021
  • Knowledge & Learning –December 12 to December 18, 2021
  • Travel & Connectivity – January 9 to January 15, 2022
  • Global Goals – January 16 to January 22, 2022
  • Health & Wellness –January 27 to February 2, 2022
  • Food, Agriculture & Livelihoods – February 17 to February 23, 2022
  • Water – March 20 to March 26, 2022

Participation of the Republic of Croatia

The Republic of Croatia is presenting itself at the EXPO exhibition as „Croatia - Inspiring Great Minds". The Croatian pavilion is located within the theme park "Mobility". The theme of the Croatian pavilion is "Mobility of the Mind". Through this theme, Croatia will present itself as a country of innovative projects, ideas, inventions and creative individuals - from Ruđer Bošković and Nikola Tesla to Mate Rimac who, due to their aspiration for challenges and openness to the new, have achieved recognition worldwide.

Croatia will be at the centre of the EXPO exhibition during the celebration of the Croatian National Day, which will take place on March 6, 2022. The celebration of National Day will be held in the central part of the EXPO, in Al Wasl Plaza.

Presentation of Companies

Croatian companies will have the opportunity to arrange bilateral meetings with potential partners from around the world. In contact with the employees of the Croatian pavilion, for interested companies space and timeslots in the business premises of the Croatian pavilion will be provided for free. Additionally, companies will be able to arrange live meetings or video calls via the official B2B application of EXPO.
