The company Gec GP d.o.o., Plešce, was founded on July 1, 2006, with the main activity of processing wood and making wooden elements. As it turned out that no sawmill in the area of the town of Delnice could cover the needs for sawmill products, and the wood industry in Delnice used to be the basic activity for the entire area, the company GEC GP decided to set up a new modern sawmill in 2006. 

The company currently operates in the Lučice Business Zone in Delnice, which is a great advantage in terms of positioning, i.e. traffic connectivity, due to its proximity to the railway and highway. To further develop its business and expand its offer, the GEC GP company in October 2023 started implementing the project GO₂ - Green Oasys of business, as part of the "Business Development and Innovation Croatia" competition.

The project goal is the application of innovative green processes/solutions in the production plant, thanks to which the GEC GP company will place a new product on the market, and make the production itself greener due to lower consumption of energy sources, better utilization of raw materials and better optimization of work. As part of the project, the company will equip the production facility with a format saw, which represents a key investment for the expansion of GEC GP's business in the Croatian market, as well as for entering the foreign market. The project leader is the director of the GEC GP company, Robert Gec, and the actual implementation of the project lasts from October 1, 2023, to April 30, 2024.
