''This is a huge investment in the country's economy, the local community and human resources'', pointed out the representatives of the companies Zagrebačka pivovara and K pivovari, as well as the representatives of the local community at the opening ceremony of the new production plant of Vukovar microbrewery in August 2018.

The valuable investment, which can also be seen as an investment in the city of Vukovar, was commented on by Marko Njavro, Chairman of the Board of Zagrebačka pivovara: ''We have decided to channel the overall brewing heritage of Zagrebačka pivovara, that is, its leading position in the market and a century of knowledge and experience in beer brewing, into a growing section of small-production craft beers, with a continued development of our core brands. For this reason, the opening of the Vukovar Beer microbrewery represents just one of a series of projects of which we are extremely proud and through which we are demonstrating the excellence of our employees, business reliability and excellent partnering with the local community.''

Vukovar Beer has kept all of its values as well as its original taste and appearance. It is an unpasteurized pale ale, one of the first small-production beers to be noticed and its production will continue using the same recipe. The annual capacity of Vukovar Beer microbrewery is 5,000 hectoliters, and bearing in mind the distribution network of Zagrebačka pivovara, this famous beer brand originating from Vukovar will be made available in all distribution channels across Croatia, successfully meeting the demand of craft beer lovers.
