New position paper „Recommendations for the Tax System Reform in 2024“
American Chamber of Commerce in Croatia has published a new position paper „Recommendations for the Tax System Reform in 2024“.
The position paper proposes a number of measures to improve the functioning of the tax system and further tax relief. All measures were proposed with the aim of achieving a more competitive tax system and the entire Croatian economy.
As short term measures, AmCham proposes three key changes to achieve the stated goals: increase non-taxable personal deductions to EUR 840, increase the higher income tax rate threshold to EUR 5,000 gross per month, and apply the maximum monthly and annual bases at calculation of health insurance contributions.
