Bayer to donate 50.000 euros to Croatia to fight coronavirus

Bayer has announced that the company will donate 50,000 euros, or nearly 380,000 kuna, to Croatia in supporting its fight against coronavirus. The donation is made to financially empower Croatia in further combating pandemic and controlling situation, but also to support citizens of Zagreb affected by recent earthquake. Bayer will also donate 8,000 protective masks to Croatian hospitals and medical staff.

"Croatia has taken this pandemic seriously, but the coronavirus situation has also been threatened by recent earthquake in Zagreb, so citizens need all support they can get," said Andreja Smolnikar Prah, Director of Bayer Croatia and Bayer Pharmaceuticals Country Commercial Lead for the region. "In addition to the activities we are already undertaking, we decided to provide additional financial help to Croatia to support all services and citizens who need support at this time", she added.

The company will also provide 8,000 protective masks for the medical staff, which will be delivered to hospitals.

This is not Bayer's first donation since the outbreak of the pandemic; company is proactive in providing aid in Croatia and around the world.
