Data Protection Task Force was created with the goal of timely adjustment of AmCham member companies to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which represents an important legislative change in the field of personal data protection. GDPR will enable uniform operation of supervisory bodies for the protection of personal data on the territory of the European Union. GDPR is set to enter into force on 25 May 2018, by which time the companies are obliged to complete the harmonization with the provisions of the Regulation.
