Introduction to Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC)

AmCham is organizing an introductory presentation of the U.S. Department of State’s Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) program and its benefits for members.

As threats continually arise and evolve across the world, organizations require a trusted network of support to maintain peak awareness and readiness to respond. U.S. Department of State’s Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) is dedicated to maintaining strong bonds between public and private security professionals to provide these organizations with the broadest security perspective and widest scope of support.

This introductory session will provide a broad overview of OSAC - a vital public-private partnership that connects the Diplomatic Security Service with private-sector organizations operating abroad. Mr. Gregory Drazek, Regional Security Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Croatia, will present the program and explain how it supports its members companies through real-time threat awareness, crisis response, trainings and ongoing security collaboration.

If you have significant business operations in Croatia, this session will demonstrate how OSAC can be a useful resource in helping safeguard your assets from different security threats.

OSAC is a network for sharing security information all across the world which was created in 1985 to promote security cooperation between the American private sector and the U.S. government. Nowadays, it is a joint venture with diverse constituency of nearly 18.000 representatives of 5.400 organizations. There are over 150 OSAC Country Chapters worldwide.

The event will take place on Tuesday, 17 June, 2025 from 10:00 until 12:00 hours at the U.S. Embassy in Croatia (Thomasa Jeffersona 2).

This event is for AmCham members only and it is free of charge. The event will be conducted in English language and the format is in-person only.
