Meeting at the Ministry of Health

Representatives of the AmCham participated in a meeting at the Ministry of Health with Hrvoje Belani, Head of the Sector for Implementation and Improvement of Information Systems, focused on developing a system for monitoring and preventing medicine shortages.

AmCham presented its position on the monitoring and prevention system, developed in collaboration with members of its Healthcare Committee. The meeting highlighted key aspects of the prevention system project and the plan for its implementation. 
In addition to representatives of the Ministry of Health, the meeting was also attended by representatives of HALMED, the Croatian Health Insurance Fund (HZZO), and the Croatian Chamber of Pharmacists.

AmCham supports the development of a functional system that enables effective monitoring and prevention of medicine shortages and expressed its willingness to continue working with the Ministry of Health on a solution, including the involvement of AmCham representatives in relevant working groups. Special emphasis was placed on a balanced approach to reporting requirements and the protection of confidential business data, as well as on ensuring transparency in the dynamics of the pharmaceutical market.
All participants welcomed the openness to constructive cooperation.
