Billy POS, a member of the ETRANET Group and provider of leading Croatian fiscal cash register solutions, processed this sale at Billy fiscal cash register through the crypto-payment platform GoCrypto.
The red Ford Focus bought by a young married couple from Zagreb was paid a little less than 1 Bitcoin on the day of purchase, and the transaction was carried out using the Billy fiscal cash register at Karić automobili. Although the car was paid for in cryptocurrency, the dealer received the requested price in HRK on his business account, less the transaction fee.
By the way, almost a year ago, Billy POS enabled easy acceptance of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ether (ETH), Bitcoin (BTC) and GoCrypto Token (GoC) at its fiscal cash registers. At the same time, the buyer has the flexibility of choosing in which of the above cryptocurrencies he wants to pay - the merchant will always receive the amount in kuna to his business account, less the transaction fee.
It is important to note that transaction fees for merchants when receiving cryptocurrencies with this system are significantly lower than in the case of payment by debit or credit cards. In addition, for merchants the integration of payments into their cash register is completely free, and the merchant does not pay even a monthly fee for receiving cryptocurrencies; for him the only cost is merely the transaction fee.
To pay with cryptocurrencies, customers only need to scan the QR code from the cash register screen from their cryptocurrency wallet. For example, if they want to pay with Bitcoin Cash (BCH), they can do so from any cryptowallet that supports this cryptocurrency, i.e. knows how to communicate with the Bitcoin.com platform.
