The Isolano officially opened: First Marriott hotel on the Croatian islands

With a spectacular opening night featuring fine wines, traditional Cres songs, and dances, the luxurious The Isolano Autograph Collection hotel officially placed Croatia on the prestigious map of Marriott International. It is the group’s first hotel on any Croatian island and the country’s first Autograph Collection property.

The €17 million investment, led by local visionary Nikola Avram and his company Valdarke d.o.o., is not just a symbol of luxury – it sends a bold message about the future of Croatian tourism: sustainable, authentic, and refined.

"We wanted every stone of this hotel to tell the story of Cres," Avram told guests, among them Marriott International Vice President Pankaj Birla and Croatia’s State Secretary Robert Pende. "With over 95% of ingredients sourced locally and a design that honors nature and tradition, we believe we've created a place that transforms the destination."

The hotel features 49 spacious rooms, two heated outdoor pools, exclusive beach access, a beach bar, event venues, and a wellness and spa center. Authentic Dalmatian stone, seamlessly blended with contemporary architecture, and interiors curated by famed designer Kristina Zanić ensure every moment is unforgettable.

State Secretary Pende emphasized the importance of such investments: "Croatia needs more projects that embody sustainability, quality, and authenticity. Cres truly deserves this."

Under the leadership of experienced general manager Mario Ivić, The Isolano promises guests a distinct and memorable experience, far from standardized luxury. The culinary program, led by celebrated chef Aleksandar Kerekes, celebrates the vibrant Adriatic heritage with a contemporary twist.

The Isolano is more than a hotel – it’s a gateway to the soul of the Mediterranean, bridging timeless tradition with global excellence.
