AmCham’s position paper on Education and Specialization in Legal Profession was one of the key topics of the meeting between AmCham’s representatives and Mr. Mirko Klarić, the Dean of the Split Law School. Amongst other, they discussed possibilities for improvement in the higher education, work practice prior to eligibility of independent work in the legal profession, professional training at the workplace and gaining experience by working. Ms. Andrea Doko Jelušić, Executive Director of AmCham presented AmCham’s policy recommendations for the improvement of the existing system and practices related to training in the legal profession in Croatia.

The interests for mutual cooperation was expressed especially in the segment of students acquiring practical knowledge and skills. An importance of intellectual property law has also been emphasized by the participants.
