AmCham Talents - AI and the Future of Leadership

The lecture opened a series of sessions through which participants – young professionals from AmCham member companies – will, over the coming months, have the opportunity to develop their competencies through direct exchange of experience with leading business executives.

Speaking on the topic “AI and the Future of Leadership,” Nataša Rapaić reflected on the profound changes that artificial intelligence is bringing to the way organizations think, make decisions, and shape their business models. Drawing on her own experience of leading one of Croatia’s leading digital companies, she showed participants how technological change is concretely reflected in day-to-day business operations and in the strategic direction of organizations.

Through examples from Hrvatski Telekom’s practice, participants gained insight into how artificial intelligence is already being implemented today through infrastructure development, the use of advanced tools, and the strengthening of organizational knowledge. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of changing mindsets and organizational culture as key preconditions for successful transformation.

The lecture also focused on leadership in the context of accelerated change. Nataša Rapaić emphasized that modern leaders are increasingly expected not to have all the answers, but to create an environment in which people can think, contribute, and grow. She highlighted the importance of continuous learning, openness to new perspectives, building trust, and developing strong and complementary teams.

The lecture was highly inspiring and engaging, providing participants with relevant insights into the role of leaders in a time of technological change and laying a strong foundation for the continuation of the program.
