AmCham Talents - Building Trust in an Age of Noise
The seventh lecture of the AmCham Talents 2026 program will be delivered by Ankica Mamić, Founder and Owner of IMC Agency, one of Croatia’s most experienced and respected experts in strategic and crisis communications.
Ankica Mamić founded IMC – Integralni marketing i komunikacije d.o.o. in 2002 and has since built one of the country’s most recognized communications agencies. Her professional path in marketing and communications began in 1990, with early experience in the tourism sector. In 1996, she founded her first marketing and promotion agency, and in 2002 launched IMC, where she has been continuously active ever since.
Thanks to her extensive experience, she is widely regarded as one of the leading professionals in the field of strategic and crisis communication. Over the course of her career, she has worked on numerous complex communication projects for major Croatian and international companies operating in Croatia, and regularly advises CEOs, board members, and senior management teams.
Ankica Mamić graduated in Linguistics from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and in Journalism from the Faculty of Political Science, both at the University of Zagreb. She also holds the CIPR Diploma (Chartered Institute of Public Relations) and is a certified CIPR trainer. Through numerous programs, seminars, and workshops in public relations, corporate governance, and other specialized fields, she has continuously expanded her knowledge and expertise.
She is also a frequent media commentator on social and political issues, highly active and influential on social media, and a guest lecturer at universities, where she leads seminars and workshops on public relations. In recent years, she has served as a member of the jury of the IPRA Golden World Awards for excellence in public relations.
In her lecture, Ankica Mamić will share her perspective on how trust is built and maintained in an environment shaped by information overload, rapid media cycles, and constant public scrutiny, and why authentic communication remains one of the most important leadership tools in times of noise and uncertainty.
