Novelties in Intellectual Property Protection
The American Chamber of Commerce in Croatia held a working meeting with the State Intellectual Property Office, dedicated to current developments and trends in the field of intellectual property protection.
The aim of the event was to familiarize members with the latest changes in the legislative framework and with trends in intellectual property protection practices.
Following State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) representatives participated in the meeting: Ms. Ljiljana Kuterovac, Director General, Ms. Irena Tušek, Deputy Director General, Ms. Antoneta Cvetić, Head of the Trademarks and Industrial Design Sector, Ms. Marija Šiša Hrlić, Head of the Copyright and Related Rights and Enforcement Department and Ms. Jelena Sekulić, Head of the European and International Affairs Department.
The SIPO representatives delivered engaging and informative presentations covering the following topics:
- Recent developments in the legislative framework for intellectual property protection in Croatia and the EU
- Intellectual property protection in the digital environment
- The role of mediation in resolving intellectual property disputes
Following the presentations, a discussion was held among participants, focusing on the exchange of experiences, opinions, and proposals for improving practices in the field of intellectual property protection.
