Workshop in Public Procurement

American Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy is organizing a training workshop in Public Procurement.

The topic of the workshop is "The most common challenges faced by bidders and contracting authorities in public procurement". The lecturer will be experts from the Ministry of Economy. 

Additional topics that will be covered at the workshop include:

First two hours:

  • Dialogue between contracting authorities and economic operators – how to improve communication and reduce the number of disputes.
  • Implementation of administrative supervision (how many complaints are received, on what topics and from whom, and how often ex-officio procedures are initiated).
  • Misdemeanor protection (whether proceedings are initiated and, if so, most common reasons; if not, what prevents them, etc.).
  • The most common reasons for appeals and annulments of procedures – analysis of practice and trends.
  • Rights and obligations of bidders in the legal protection procedure – practical advice.

Second two hours:

  • The most frequent inquiries from bidders submitted to the Public Procurement Policy Directorate of the Ministry of Economy and the corresponding answers.
  • The most frequent inquiries from contracting authorities submitted to the Public Procurement Policy Directorate of the Ministry of Economy and the corresponding answers.

The workshop is intended for AmCham members. Working language will be Croatian. Persons with a valid certificate in the Public Procurement will be eligible for points during certificate renewal. Number of places at the workshop is limited. 

AmCham Members have free registration. Patron members may register up to three persons, while other AmCham Members may register up to two persons.
