Action “Plant With HPB” Collected Over 50.000 Hrk

The ecological – volunteer project “Plant with HPB” being implemented by Hrvatska poštanska banka in cooperation with the company “Hrvatske šume” is excellently progressing and the amount of HRK 50.000 donated by the citizens has just been surpassed.

We have the pleasure to announce that the action of the afforestation of Croatia, launched in August 2021 by HPB marking 30 years of its operation, has been supported until now by more than 600 citizens and the commentaries we are receiving from them confirm strong interest in the topic dealing with the preservation of forests and awareness of the importance of taking care of the environment.

We thank everyone who participated until now by paying their donations and ensuring already the supply of more than 8,000 seedlings. The funds to buy seedlings will be collected until the end of November in 2021 when Hrvatska poštanska banka will also join the citizens’ payments with its donation.

The project “Plant with HPB” is implemented from August in 2021 until January in 2022 and includes two phases. During the first phase donations are collected by making payments to specially designated account at HPB number: HR9823900011599900005 and the funds will be fully and transparently assigned to the purchase of the seedlings of common oak, maritime and black pine and stone pine. During the winter, in the second phase, the purchased seedlings will be planted under the professional guidance of the company “Hrvatske šume” and with the assistance of HPB’s volunteers, in compliance with the statutory management plans. For now, the experts from “Hrvatske šume” selected three locations. The first one is in the coastal region of Croatia covering the area of the forestry office of Biograd and two are in the continental region – covering the forestry offices of Dugo Selo and Stara Gradiška.

The action will also further include both the continental and the coastal Croatia where some of the burnt areas will be remediated, and we will regularly inform the public about the locations and all other details related to the progress and the results.

All interested citizens may participate in the action and donations may be paid using HPB’s mobile banking, selecting the menu “More – Donations”, and using HPB’s internet banking, uploading 2D barcode, as well as by making cash and non-cash payments within the HPB’s business network or at the offices of the Croatian Post.

Those making donations choose alone the amount of their donation and the payments are free of any banking fee, with the exception of those made using 2D barcode by people who are not HPB’s customers.
