Adriatic AWS Innovation Days 2019
Opatija was the center of a unique AWS conference, the largest in our wider region, attended by more than 200 IT and business professionals. During the two days of the conference, October 10 and 11, the city turned into a hub for cloud technology, primarily focusing on AWS services, discussing innovations and technological advancements, sharing experiences and networking with like-minded people.
The conference was jointly organized by Amazon Web Services (AWS), a market leader in cloud computing and iOLAP, AWS's Advanced Consulting Partner, which uses AWS services and helps businesses of all sizes reap the benefits of cloud computing.
The conference itself was opened by Mark Schwartz, the renowned author of several hit business titles, an AWS strategist and evangelist, who has helped many companies with their digital transformations in their long professional careers; and Nick Larsen, iOLAP's Vice President who has been helping leading global companies leverage the benefits of cloud computing for years to help improve their business.
Both lecturers talked about innovation, sharing with the audience their own experiences and practical tips on how to foster and sustain a culture of innovation within businesses of all sizes and how cloud computing can contribute.
Yiannis Nasios, from AWS, talked about Cloud Economics and how businesses achieve success with the transformation to cloud services.
The quality of the conference was supported by 28 lecturers, panelists and moderators, 18 sponsors and partners, while 200 experts from different profiles and different industry verticals attended.
The conference really deserves an international status and the title of the largest regional AWS conference since it brought together participants from countries in the region (Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro), as well as participants and lecturers from countries such as USA, Luxembourg, Germany and Netherlands.
