AmCham position paper on the Electricity Market Act

In the document, AmCham supports the objectives of the proposed amendments aimed at strengthening consumer protection, fostering the development of the electricity market, and further integrating renewable energy sources. At the same time, the position paper presents a number of recommendations for improving the regulatory framework to ensure transparent, market-based, and predictable business conditions for all market participants.

The key recommendations focus on promoting competition, providing clearer rules for universal and guaranteed supply, improving the protection of vulnerable consumers, increasing regulatory predictability, and creating conditions that encourage investment and the development of innovative energy services.

The position paper was prepared by AmCham’s Energy & Environment Committee based on the expertise and practical experience of member companies active in the Croatian energy sector.
