Expat in Croatia hosts free Croatian citizenship workshops in the U.S. and Canada

The 2026 Citizenship Tour will take place from September 26 to October 10, with stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Calgary, and Dallas. Free workshops in San Francisco, Calgary, and Dallas will cover Croatian citizenship by descent, required documentation, the application process, relocation to Croatia, as well as tax and military obligations.
The workshops will be led by Sara Dyson, founder of Expat in Croatia, together with vetted Croatian lawyers specializing in citizenship matters. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions during the sessions.
Navigating citizenship from abroad can involve multiple legal systems and individual circumstances. With expert guidance, the workshops give those interested a clearer understanding of what the process of obtaining Croatian citizenship involves.
This year’s tour builds on the inaugural 2025 edition, which visited Toronto, Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Cleveland. Alongside the workshops, Expat in Croatia will take part in the 75th Annual Croatian Festival & Picnic in Los Angeles, as well as the Association of Croatian American Professionals (ACAP) Conference and CroatiaFest in Seattle.
Participation in the workshops is free, but advance registration is required due to limited capacity. Further information about the tour and registration is available on this page.
