EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2019 open for applications

Berislav Horvat, EY Croatia Country Managing Partner, Jasminka Rojko, Head for large and international corporate clients at Raiffeisen bank (general sponsor) and Silvio Kutić, Croatian EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2018, launched the 2019 program and emphasized that more than 140 candidates from all over Croatia participated in the previous five editions of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year program. Last year’s program gathered a record number of participants, 50 entrepreneurs from 35 companies, with HRK5.7b combined revenues and 8,512 employees. This year’s nominations are open until 8 November 2019 via online platform: geoy.ey.com. In addition, the platform provides an easy way for anyone to recommend entrepreneurs into the program.

All candidates must meet certain general conditions including having a company which has been established for at least three years and employs at least 20 people. Candidates also need to have significant ownership stake in the company or have a status which allows them a key influence on decision making, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.

The winner of the 2019 program will be selected by the independent judging panel and announced at a gala dinner in March 2020. The judging panel is chaired by Emil Tedeschi, while other members include entrepreneurs and investors Nenad Bakić and Saša Cvetojević, and previous EY Entrepreneur of The Year winners – Đuro Horvat, Marko Pipunić, Mate Rimac and Alan Sumina.
