Future GREEN Business 2025
In the spirit of international partnership, solidarity, and joint action, the International Institute for Climate Activities (IICA) is once again organizing the prestigious international conference “Future GREEN Business,” which will take place on June 6, 2025, in Zagreb at the Esplanade Hotel.
At a time when the world is facing the accelerating consequences of climate change, the green transition is no longer a matter of choice, but a global responsibility.
The conference represents a tangible contribution to the implementation of global climate goals in synergy with European and African partners and the business sector. It focuses on sustainable development, ESG standards, and climate diplomacy—areas that require coordinated, bold, and responsible action from all stakeholders, regardless of continent or sector. In this context, the presence of the African partner—Her Royal Highness Princess Mossi of Burkina Faso, H.R.H. Abze Djigma, one of the most influential global advocates of energy justice and digital inclusion—further confirms the importance of EU-AU cooperation as the foundation for building resilient and fair green economies.
This year’s conference is held with the strong support of the European Commission, relevant ministries of the Republic of Croatia, leading commercial banks, and corporations, with the aim of connecting knowledge, experience, and capital to accelerate the green transformation. As the central annual meeting place for representatives of diplomacy, science, and business, “Future GREEN Business” affirms the importance of joint action in a time when sustainability, innovation, and resilience are inseparable from economic development.
As part of the conference, the winners of the “Future Green Leaders” scholarship competition, conducted under the Women Green Leaders Club (WGLC) initiative, will be ceremonially announced. This is a strategic program that brings together women in the green transition sector and promotes intergenerational mentorship, knowledge exchange, and the empowerment of young female professionals in decision-making structures.
The competition, which included a detailed selection process of applications from across Croatia, will award valuable prizes: international ESG education, internships at professional institutions, and recognitions that mark a starting point for a career in sustainability. This further reinforces the message that young women—with competence, motivation, and vision—are key actors in a future based on a fairer, greener, and more resilient society.
Participation in the conference is by personal invitation from IICA and with an assigned QR code only.
For Patron Members of AmCham, 5 spots are reserved on a “first come, first serve” basis.
