HPB and Visa Engage in Strategic Partnership

Hrvatska poštanska banka and Visa, the world leader in digital payments, are expanding their partnership and the entire portfolio of cards will be replaced by Visa, free of charge for HPB customers.

Visa offers the most innovative, reliable, and secure payment network, and the replacement of all current cards with Visa will provide customers with numerous benefits and an advanced contactless payment system, greater acceptance at online and physical points of sale and payment options on PayPal.

All the conditions, benefits, and functionalities that customers have had so far will be transferred to the new Visa cards with additional improvements. Soon, HPB customers will also be able to use their virtual contactless cards to make mobile payments.

Process of transfer to Visa cards for our clients will be free, fast, and easy, and it will bring to them many benefits and even better service that will make us successfully compete in the Croatian market.”

HPB customers will join the cardholders of 3.5 billion Visa cards, and their cards will be accepted in more than 46 million merchant locations around the world.”

Exchange of cards and transfer to Visa cards will take place free of charge throughout 2021 and early next year. To make the transition to a new card for customers as easy as possible, the PIN will remain unchanged and the existing PIN will be valid on the new card.

Clients of Hrvatska poštanska banka will receive new Visa cards at their addresses with clear instructions for activation.

By switching to Visa cards, HPB aims to provide its customers an even better payments experience.
