International Day of SOS Children's Villages

Hermann Gmeiner, the founder of the international organization SOS Children's Villages, which is active in 136 countries around the world, would be celebrating his 101st birthday today! That is why we celebrate the International Day of SOS Children's Villages on this date.

The togetherness that is being celebrated today by children, young people, SOS mothers, aunts and other co-workers around the world is based on the values of SOS Children's Villages, where every employee always goes above and beyond in their work.

At the time of the global pandemic, we are aware of all the risks faced by children and young people around the world, which is why we decided to send a message of joy and hope from our Children's Village Ladimirevci.

Everything we have seen and heard today in our children’s performances was brilliant, full of energy and optimism. These are the emotions and attitudes that we are going to need in order to successfully cope with all the challenging times ahead of us.

We would like to join in the congratulations on 71 years of SOS Children's Villages being active as a global organization. We are proud of everything we contribute to caring for children and shaping their future.
