17th edition of the WinDays conference, the largest regional business and technology conference, was held in Poreč from 25 to 28 April 2017.
It was divided into two parts: WinDays17 Business and WinDays17 Technology. WinDays17 Business focused on digital competitiveness and digital transformation on Tuesday and Wednesday, 25 and 26 April. WinDays17 Technology was held from Wednesday to Friday, from 26 to 28 April. Among many news and trends, one of the key topics was cyber security.
This year WinDays17 Business conference brought lots of practical examples illustrating all benefits of digital transformation. Participants of two round tables discussed digitally competitive projects and education that is a good base for skills of the future. Business program also hosted globally renowned motivation speaker for the first time. Miles Hilton – Barber has a unique story and style that brought him participation on more than 1.100 events all over the world. His session in Poreč “Fulfilling your Personal and Business Potential in 2017 and Beyond” motivated participants to question their attitude towards life challenges.
WinDays17 Technology also dealt with trends in hacker community and cyber crimes. Patrick O'Rourke, Microsoft’s IT Director presented experience of the digital transformation of the IT Department. Damarys Vigil, lawyer in Microsoft’s Digital Crime Unit for CEE talked about cyber security threats. They were joined by top speakers from Croatia, the region and all over the world.
