Since joining KPMG Croatia in 1999, Domagoj Hrkać has gained extensive experience in the provision of audit and financial advisory services, working with both domestic and international clients across a wide range of industries in Croatia, Canada, the United States, Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries throughout the region. He has been a member of the Management Board of KPMG Croatia since 2012 and currently serves as Head of Audit for the KPMG Adria Cluster.

Domagoj Hrkać holds the professional qualification of Certified Auditor in Croatia, accreditation for transaction advisory services, and the internationally recognised Fellow of the UK Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) qualification. In addition to his formal education, he has continuously invested in his professional development through numerous specialised training programmes and executive education initiatives, including studies at Harvard Business School, as well as a range of internationally recognised programmes in leadership, management and professional services.

"I am truly honoured to take on the role of Managing Partner for the KPMG Adria region. I firmly believe that our people, service excellence and the trust of our clients are the foundations of our success. I look forward to working closely with our teams and clients to create new opportunities for business development and growth in the years ahead. I would also like to extend my sincere gratitude to Goran Horvat, who preceded me as Managing Partner, for his pivotal role in building and shaping both the firm and the Adria Cluster. Through his expertise, dedication and leadership, Goran made a significant contribution to strengthening KPMG’s market position in the region and laid strong foundations for continued success," Domagoj stated, following his appointment.

The current Managing Partner, Goran Horvat, PhD, who is stepping down from the role, has led KPMG in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2017 and subsequently assumed leadership of the KPMG Adria Cluster. During his time as Managing Partner, Goran has made a significant contribution to the firm's growth, development and positioning as a leading audit and advisory firm in the region. He has led some of the largest M&A transactions, complex restructuring projects and business transformation initiatives. A particular focus of his leadership has been the development of KPMG’s expertise and talent, which he viewed as a core element of the firm’s DNA and essential to delivering the highest quality of service to clients and ensuring long-term success.

In addition to serving as Managing Partner of KPMG Adria, Goran has also been a Member of the Board of KPMG Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) as well as Head of Restructuring for the CEE region.

Goran plans to continue his career pursuing new professional challenges outside KPMG.

"It has been a privilege and a pleasure to be part of the KPMG team and to serve as Managing Partner over the past decade. Our success has been driven by an innovative mindset, agility and the application of the highest professional standards in designing and implementing comprehensive solutions to address our clients’ most complex business challenges.

I am especially grateful to my colleagues, who form an exceptional multidisciplinary KPMG team, as well as to our clients and partners for their trust, collaboration and support. I am proud of everything we have achieved together. I congratulate Domagoj on his appointment and am confident that he will lead the KPMG team successfully across the region," Goran Horvat remarked.
