New position paper “Comment on the Amendments to the Civil Procedure Act”

The bill is proposed to be adopted for the purpose of implementing the further phase of the acceleration of court proceedings, setting clearer rules for the conduct of proceedings, further implementation of new technologies in court proceedings, additional elaboration of the revision institute by permission of the Supreme Court, and further corrections of provisions which have in practice proven to be insufficiently developed in certain segments.

AmCham welcomes the proposed amendments and finds them favorable. AmCham also welcomes the previous activities of the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration focused on facilitating business activities and creating a predictable, stable and effective judicial system.

The position paper aims to give constructive proposals and identify the possible inconsistencies of certain provisions of the proposal in order to contribute to the final text of the bill to be optimally harmonized with the needs of all of the stakeholders of the Croatian judicial system and the general public as well.
