This year has indeed been eventful. It began with Croatian businesses and society introducing the euro, a process which, despite many concerns, went smoothly and successfully. Another significant event that will be remembered by us, and future generations, is Croatia’s entry into the Schengen Area. These crucial events further integrated Croatia into the European Union.
 
This year, we also organized a business delegation to the United States, with visits to San Francisco and Silicon Valley, Austin, and Houston. Excellent hosts such as PwC, Salesforce, Citi Ventures, Microsoft, Fortinet, Digital Realty, Oracle, and iOLAP once again impressed with their presentations on the latest trends and thoughts on the development of artificial intelligence. After an intensive
week, the last day was particularly inspiring. The AmCham delegation visited Johnson’s Space Center Houston and its Human Performance Accelerator Lab (HPALab).

We held total of 88 Committee meetings, as well as 19 policy related meetings with government representatives and other stakeholders and issued 19 position papers. Key Policy Accomplishments are related to submitting electronic versions of the documentation to the Croatian Health Insurance Fund and increase in non-taxable compensations. We held three business breakfasts, three business lunches and three conferences. We also had four co-organized events and a series of smaller business and networking events, totaling 77 for the whole year. In addition, we also supported 12 events of our members and business partners.
