The main challenges in Croatia are insufficient enforcement of IP legislation and the lack of specialized courts. AmCham proposes amendments to the Criminal Code:

• introducing a new article to define the method for determining damages and material gains in IP infringement cases,
• lowering the threshold for criminal prosecution from HRK 60,000 to HRK 30,000, in order to discourage infringements more effectively and strengthen IP protection.
