Recommendations for the adoption of the Act on Electromobility and Alternative Fuels

AmCham recognizes transport as one of the largest sources of greenhouse gas emissions and highlights the importance of developing e-mobility and alternative fuels to achieve the goals of the European Green Deal.

Croatia lags significantly behind the EU in the number of electric vehicles and publicly available charging stations, which is why AmCham proposes adopting a Law on E-Mobility and Alternative Fuels and programming related projects within the EU Multiannual Financial Framework. The proposed measures include establishing a national charging network, strengthening the regulatory framework, encouraging public institutions to adopt zero-emission vehicles, and introducing tax incentives. Their implementation would enable Croatia to keep pace with European trends, improve transport sustainability, and generate positive effects for the economy, tourism, and employment.
