The occupation of logistics technicians has never been in higher demand

Familiar with the needs and challenges of the labor market, as well as the importance of education for community development, Jamnica will provide scholarships to 26 students who have enrolled in the logistics technician program at Jastrebarsko High School starting from the new school year. In the first enrollment round, all spots were already taken, and the high number of applicants, 87 of them, is evidence of the quality of this educational programe.

"The demand for this occupation will continue to grow in the job market, especially in our city where many companies have established their logistics centers. One of them is Jamnica Plus, to which I express gratitude for joining us in supporting quality education for our students, enabling them to compete better in the job market in the future," said Sonja Stipanović, the principal of Jastrebarsko High School, adding that it's crucial for students to become acquainted with practical work through the project.

Jamnica will actively participate in the education of future logistics technicians, offering them full scholarships each year throughout their four-year high school education.

"Logistics is a crucial part of Jamnica's operations. We are delighted that through this educational program, we can contribute to the high-quality education of future logistics experts and support the development of the local community in which we operate. We believe this is just the beginning of our collaboration, and we plan to support many more future generations of logisticians. We wish all students a successful new school year," said Ivan Mandić, the Supply Chain Director at Jamnica.

The First Step Towards Continuing Education

The city of Jastrebarsko will also support young professionals in their education by providing them with free textbooks and computer equipment to facilitate their learning. After completing high school, students of this unique program will be able to continue their education in the undergraduate Logistics and Mobility program at the University of Sjever in Koprivnica and Varaždin.

"As a city where logistics is one of the key industrial sectors, we are thrilled about this year's significant interest among the youth to enroll in our school, specifically in the logistics technician program. Alongside partners, including Jamnica, we will continue to follow and support the new generations of Jastrebarsko logisticians in their education and professional development," said Zvonimir Novosel, the mayor of Jastrebarsko.

The Traffic and Logistics program was launched last year at Jastrebarsko High School, as a result of collaboration between the city of Jastrebarsko, educational and economic organizations.
