AmCham's Power Breakfast

A new court register website has been launched, enabling digital interaction between entrepreneurs and the court register. The pilot project is currently being implemented in Varaždin and Osijek, and will gradually be expanded to the rest of Croatia. On behalf of the Ministry, the new features were presented by Ksenija Flack-Makitan, Judge of the Commercial Court in Varaždin.

"The predictability and efficiency of the judicial system, as well as the digitalization of public administration, represent some of the key topics that potential investors consider when deciding whether to invest in Croatia or in another market", said Andrea Doko Jelušić, Executive Director of AmCham.

"We are continuing the digitalization of the court register by enabling applications for entry and the entry of changes to be submitted electronically, thereby further improving the digital collection of documents of registered entities. From now on, entrepreneurs will be able to carry out certain changes in the court register more easily, without having to go to court. "Through eServices, users are now able to create applications for the entry changes without the involvement of a notary public, specifically for: business addresses at the company’s registered office, email addresses, personal data of the chairperson and members of the supervisory board, as well as data on subsequently paid contributions and payments", said Damir Habijan, Minister of Justice, Public Administration, and Digital Transformation.

In July 2024 AmCham prepared its position "Creating a Single National Court Register" in which we proposed consolidation of the existing nine court registers into a single national body in order to ensure standardization, equal treatment, predictability and greater efficiency in the operation of the court register.
