AmChams in Europe Delegation to the United States 2026

During the Washington, D.C. program, held from April 20 to 22, the delegation participated in a series of meetings with representatives of key U.S. institutions and organizations, including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Department of State, members of Congress, leading think tanks, and private sector representatives.

Notable interlocutors included Marjorie Chorlins, Senior Vice President, Europe at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; David Fogel, Assistant Secretary of Commerce; Michael Rigas, Deputy Secretary of State; Congressman Keith Self, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Europe; as well as representatives from the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), Accenture, and Politico.

Special emphasis was placed on strengthening bilateral economic relations between Croatia and the United States. In this context, AmCham Croatia also held a dedicated meeting with representatives from the office of Senator Mike Crapo, Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, regarding the ratification of the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement between Croatia and the United States.

The second part of the program took place in Austin, Texas, on April 23 and 24, where the delegation visited Tesla Gigafactory and held meetings with representatives of the University of Texas at Austin, US Trade Consult, Austin Chamber of Commerce, and the Texas Economic Development and Tourism Office.

The official visit focused on strengthening transatlantic economic ties, enhancing institutional cooperation, and exchanging best practices in trade, investment, innovation, and public policy.

Through its participation in this delegation, AmCham Croatia continued to actively contribute to the advancement of economic relations between Croatia, Europe, and the United States.
