Global Entry Program – Mobile Enrollment Event in Zagreb on September 4
As of 2023, Croatian citizens are eligible to apply for the Global Entry program. This trusted traveler program enables expedited customs processing when entering the United States, helping frequent travelers save valuable time.
Since March 2023, the Republic of Croatia has been a full partner in the Global Entry program, which allows Croatian citizens to apply for membership that will enable them to enter the United States more quickly for tourism or business purposes.
Membership in the Global Entry program for citizens of the Republic of Croatia
Provides priority processing upon arrival in the U.S. and allows them to skip long lines at customs. Members can use kiosks available at most major U.S. airports, avoiding the usual customs declarations and arrival procedures.
With the Global Entry app, members can also choose to confirm their arrival in the U.S. using their iOS or Android device before entering the customs inspection area.
Membership in the Global Entry program also includes access to expedited security screening while exiting US at all U.S. airports for both domestic and international travel.
Who is eligible for the Global Entry program?
Citizens of the Republic of Croatia are eligible for membership in the United States Global Entry program if they are determined to be low-risk travelers, provided that:
-
they are not inadmissible to enter the United States under current U.S. immigration laws;
-
they do not provide false or incomplete information in their application;
-
they have not been convicted of a criminal offense in any country;
-
they are not currently under investigation by any federal or state law enforcement agency in any country;
-
they have not been found to have violated applicable customs, immigration, or agricultural laws in any country.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reserves the right to deny applicants who cannot be confirmed as low-risk travelers or who do not meet other program requirements.
How to apply?
-
Complete the online application at https://ttp.dhs.gov
-
Once your application is conditionally approved, you will receive an email notification and may be asked to schedule an interview at one of the Global Entry enrollment centers (you can also choose the Enrollment on Arrival option at selected U.S. airports).
-
During the interview, a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer will determine your eligibility and collect biometric data (e.g., fingerprints, photograph). You will be required to present a valid passport and another form of identification, such as a driver’s license or ID card. If you are a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., you must show your permanent resident card.
-
If approved, your membership will be valid immediately for five years and will expire on your birthday. You do not need your Global Entry card to travel and enjoy membership benefits. You only need your passport to activate the customs declaration and arrival process at a Global Entry kiosk.
How much does it cost?
At the time of application submission, a non-refundable fee of 120 USD will be charged. Minors under the age of 18 have free access if a parent or legal guardian is a member of the program.
To support Croatian applicants, CBP (Customs and Border Protection) will host a Global Entry mobile enrollment event in Sheraton Zagreb hotel on September 4. This special opportunity allows applicants to complete their mandatory interview in Croatia instead of traveling to the U.S.
If you have not yet enrolled in Global Entry, we invite you to review the attached brochure and consider applying via https://ttp.dhs.gov. Once the online application is submitted and the fee is paid, applicants will be able to schedule an interview in Zagreb on September 4.
