HPB and Visa Strengthen Partnership for New Phase of Card Business Development

Hrvatska poštanska banka (HPB) and Visa, one of the world's leaders in digital payments, have signed a new long-term strategic partnership agreement to continue their successful business cooperation over the next six years. The agreement enters into force on April 1, 2027 and lasts until March 31, 2033, confirming Visa as HPB's key partner in the development of the card business.

The new agreement is a continuation of the cooperation established in 2021, during which HPB and Visa worked together to strengthen the card business and develop modern payment solutions. Recognizing the potential for further growth and improvement, the partners decided to expand and further strengthen their cooperation for the new multi-year period.

Josip Majher, Member of the Management Board of HPB, pointed out at the signing of the Agreement: "Visa has been an important partner of HPB in the issuance of payment cards for years, and the new agreement covers the entire card portfolio of the Bank. The partnership supports HPB in further digitalization and modernization of its card business, and the cooperation is focused on three key areas: further business growth, strengthening the resilience of the system and the development of innovative payment solutions.

This renewed long-term agreement reflects our shared commitment to supporting the bank’s card business growth, while advancing digitalization, security and innovation in payments. Together with HPB, we will continue to focus on delivering secure, seamless and convenient payment experiences that create tangible value for consumers, businesses and the wider Croatian economy.”

Special emphasis will be placed on improving the user experience, further increasing the security of transactions and fraud prevention. The partnership will also enable the optimization of card products and services to better meet the needs of citizens and business users.

By signing the new agreement, HPB and Visa confirm their joint commitment to the development of secure, simple and innovative payment methods and the continuation of successful cooperation that will create added value for the Bank's clients in the years to come.
