Meeting at the Ministry of Economy

AmCham representatives met with Mr. Danijel Drlić, Director of the Public Procurement Policy Directorate, Ms. Renata Tomljenović, Head of the Public Procurement Policy Development Department, and Mr. Zoran Vuić, Head of the Public Procurement Policy Implementation Department.

Key recommendations were emphasized, including the obligation to publish simple procurements through the Electronic Public Procurement Classifieds (EOJN), the prevention of splitting simple procurements to avoid public procurement procedures, extending deadlines for bid submission, and enabling electronic submission and access to bids in simple procurement procedures.

Mr. Drlić and his colleagues welcomed AmCham’s proposals as well as the close and active cooperation with AmCham regarding the improvement of public procurement procedures.
When preparing the proposed amendments to the Public Procurement Act, the Ministry took into account a number of recommendations from AmCham’s position papers published in previous years.

AmCham was represented at the meeting by Mr. Dražen Malbašić, Policy Director, Ms. Vanja Bačun, Public Affairs Officer, and Ms. Jelena Markulin, Member of AmCham’s Public Procurement Committee.
