Meeting in the U.S. Senate on Double Taxation
Representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Croatia, Andrea Doko Jelušić, Executive Director, and Dražen Malbašić, Policy Director, held a meeting with representatives of the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance – Eric E. Oman, Senior Tax Policy Advisor, Kate A. Lindsey, Senior Tax Policy Advisor, and Mose A. Dlott, Tax Counsel.
The central topic of the discussion was the ratification of the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement between the Republic of Croatia and the United States, which represents an important step toward further strengthening economic relations and investment cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, participants emphasized the importance of this agreement for improving the business environment, increasing legal and tax predictability, and further encouraging trade and investment flows. For the American Chamber of Commerce in Croatia, the ratification of the Agreement remains one of its key priorities in the context of strengthening bilateral economic relations and fostering an even stronger partnership between Croatia and the United States.
Participants expressed their shared hope for the swift completion of the ratification process, recognizing its significance for further deepening economic ties and creating new opportunities for the business communities on both sides of the Atlantic.
