Representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Croatia held a meeting with representatives of the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb on the topic of healthcare economics and AmCham’s position paper “Recommendations for Improving the Treatment of Obesity”.

The meeting marks the beginning of a dialogue on potential cooperation between AmCham and the Faculty of Economics in the field of healthcare. The faculty was represented by prof. Hrvoje Šimović, PhD, Member of the Management Board of INA, and Filip Badovinac, univ. mag. oec.

Participants agreed that there is significant potential for cooperation between the business community and academia in the area of healthcare economics and the public health challenge of obesity, and they discussed possible future joint activities.

It was emphasized that cooperation and constructive dialogue among all stakeholders are key to finding solutions that contribute to improving public health, enhancing the quality of healthcare and ensuring the financial sustainability of the healthcare system.

AmCham was represented at the meeting by Andrea Doko Jelušić, Executive Director, Tomislav Vidović, Policy Officer, Jurica Toth, AmCham's Healthcare Committee Chair, Vanesa Baneković, AmCham's Healthcare Committee member and Damir Gašparović, AmCham's Healthcare Committee member.
